Growing up in Texas with no particular direction in mind, I joined the Navy at age 23 after four years of college. I met my loving and supportive husband, Adam, while stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. Three years later we were living in Connecticut where my beautiful son Trevor was born. In the short four and half years we lived in New England I held three main titles: Mom, submarine wife, and student. Three deployments and countless underways later we received orders to move back to sunny South Carolina.
2018 had become the most eventful year of my life so far. We added to our family of three through adoption. Michael joined our family at the fun age of 10. 2018 is when I finally completed my Master of Business Administration degree at Charleston Southern University.
2018 was also a year for reading and listening to novels. I listened to over thirty novels when I decided I wanted to give storytelling a try. I auditioned for and received offers to narrate a couple audiobooks. While I loved reading other people’s stories, it wasn’t enough for me.
One evening I was having a hard time deciding what book or series to start next. My husband suggested that I write my own book. I gave the suggestion some real thought and began writing that very same day.
